Snicker Cupcakes

I FINALLY DID IT!!!!  I made a pretty Cupcake.  Thanks to Jennifer and her very inspiring blog.  (Click on her name for the recipe)  I have made cupcakes before but never like this.  You should have seen the first one that I pipped the frosting on,  but it didn't take long and I remembered that tip I learned to help make the peak of the frosting go a little higher.  Place a circle of frosting in the center of the cupcake.

 Honey I'm Home!!! I went to Sendiks

Are the words I hear in my head.  LOL!  I based my trip to Milwaukee today for 3 reasons.  

1. Shopping at Sendiks Market.... I have never been to Sendiks before and thought It would be a neat grocery store to check out. Considering the commercials on TV really talked it up. Very NICE grocery store I must say.  Carpeting through out.  In the dairy section all refrigerator items are behind closed doors like in the freezer dept. I didn't check out absolutely everything but from what I saw I liked.  And the cashier was in love with my hair.  She said her and a friend are going to get there's done just like mine.

2.  Boston Store...To use my $20 coupon at the Boston Store (before it expired) to get the Fossil watch that I have been drooling over since the last time I visited my sister.  Umm Yeah.... that would have been last year sometime.

  

Last but not least...Barnes & Noble/Starbucks

3.  I love Barnes & Noble/Starbucks.....I have this thing for books. Some people may be surprised by this but I do. I love the ones that are photograph heavy that inspire me, and teach me how to do stuff that I'm interested in learning more about. And low and behold I found the book of the year...... The Mac Book..The Ultimate Handbook for Mac Owners. Where have you been???  I have had so many questions about imovie, and iphoto that I could not for the life of me figure out. This will save me a $99 class fee, and several trips to the Apple Store which is about 1 hour away from my home (that would be one way).
And....What better way to look at all of your favs with a piece of Cheesecake Factory cheescake, and a Mocha Latta.  Yeah I know...Sugar Overload.

I love the changes that Blogger has made for adding pictures and resizing.

   

LAZY SUNDAY........

Thats right it was a lazy Sunday full of HGTV (seriously).....lounged in my evening wear almost all day, and felt guilty about it. Why? Because I have so much to do with making Wedding invitations....But...I worked 6 days in a row, and just needed to take a TRUE day off and do nothing. Got dressed long enough to go get Taco Bell (drive through of course) and then we came home and watched a movie from ondemand called Something Borrowed. I thought it was good. Chick flick kind of movie. And even Al watched it with me. He didn't even want to watch it at first either....LOL! Here's to a good week!!

I'm enjoying the DIY of our wedding. These flowers are what I have chosen to carry on my wedding day. And this is the save the date card that I will be sending to our guests.

Finally..... an Idea!!!!

I have been pondering over my next quilt design. And after looking at one of my favorite blogs Make Life Sweet I know what I am going to make. Now how long will it take before I actually get started on it? I want to make one for my queen size bed.

These are the fabrics I will be using to make it.

On another note:

I think daily about my blog, designing, and being the little creater that I am. And I get mad at myself when I don't do things that I love. Imagine what I would get accomplished if I wasn't wasting so much time reading status updates on facebook.

Next month I think I should make a list of goals that I can accomplish. Well heck I will begin my list right now.

1. Get a wedding planner book. Maybe I will find one at the bridal fair that I will attend this weekend.

2. clean off the table in my craft room

3. Actually finish one of the scarves that I have started

4. Pick a date in March to launch an open house for the new Spring and Summer Scentsy catalog that is coming out.

5. Start reading the book Cleo, it is about a Cat. My Mom is letting me borrow it.

So I think this is a good start....and I don't necessarily think I need to wait until Feb. 1st to start.

I LOVE ACCOMPLISHING PROJECTS

Makes me feel really good when I finish a project. It's been a long time since I made a quilt. The last time I made one was for my sister about 2 years ago. It has brought back the creative juices in me. I haven't scrapbooked in a long time either. Plan on getting back to that soon too.

Enjoying my silhouette too. I think out of all the new digital craft cutters that are coming out these days I like the Silhouette the best. There is just something about the purchasing of all those cartridges that I don't like. I like just being able to use my own fonts. And to keep everything in my computer. Anyways this is what I made to put on my front door.

I plan on having quit a few new things made as I start the Home Ec class today. I'm going to learn a whole slue of new things. I'm super excited about that.

LAST WEEK I WAS CHANNEL SURFING WHEN I SEEN THAT QVC HAD PHILOSOPHY ON I COULDN'T HELP BUT PUT THE BREAKS ON MY FINGER AND WATCH. I'M A SUCKER FOR THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT IS SOOO SPA LIKE. SO I GOT WHAT YOU SEE PHOTOGRAPHED HERE. THE PURITY FACE WASH IS JUST LIKE LAYING IN THE SALON GETTING A FACIAL DONE. THE SMELL IS VERY CALMING. AND THAT IS WHAT I AM EXPECTING WHEN I TRY THE CALM ME SOOTH ME TOMORROW WHEN I COME HOME FROM WORK. THAT IS WHEN I'M EXPECTING ITS ARRIVAL.

THIS WEEKEND AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED.... I HAVE CHANGED SOME THINGS UP WITH MY BLOG. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO DO THIS CHANGE FOR SOOO LONG AND I FINALLY TOOK THE PLUNGE IN DOING SO. THIS KIND OF THING TAKES A LOT OF TIME BUT THE GRATIFICATION OF WHEN IT IS COMPLETE IS THE BEST FEELING EVER. I LOVE MAKING THINGS PRETTY.
THIS WEEKEND I HAVE ALSO BEEN WORKING ON A NEW SIGN FOR MY BUSINESS THAT I PLAN ON PUTTING OUT IN MY FRONT YARD SO THAT DRIVE BYS CAN SEE THAT I'M A SCENTSY CONSULTANT...AND MAYBE TAKE A BROCHURE. I LIKE TO THINK THAT MY EFFORTS WILL COUNT FOR SOMETHING.
ANYWAYS.... OFF TO BED FOR A FEW HOURS AS IT IS BACK TO WORK FOR ME TOMORROW. NIGHT-NIGHT!
